🗓️ From January 31st until February 03rd, 2026 (4 rest days)

Three rest days were initially planned in Hanmer Springs. I spent most of my time at the hot springs, relaxing in the baths. My friends, who had finished the previous section of the hike a day or two after me, joined me, and we took the opportunity to play some games and have a drink.

On the fourth day, Yvan and I tried to hitchhike back to the trail. However, the weather was very rainy, and after getting soaked to the bone, I decided to book another night in a hotel… why be cold and wet when I have all the time in the world?
