The goal for the next two days is to reach Whakahoro Camp, 52 kilometers away, which is the starting point of our canoe trip. We simply have to follow an easy gravel path, accompanied by constant showers. Halfway through, a family of trail angels offers us the opportunity to camp next to a converted garage for 25 euros a night, breakfast included. The second evening is spent at Whakahoro Camp.
